                                         “Discipline is the Best!”
According to the dictionary, goal is something you desire of. All of us have  goals, it’s either for studies or to win “her” or “him’s” heart. But in what way or how could we achieve these goals perfectly? Wishing upon a star or asking SUPERMAN to do some? If I would choose, I’ll go for SUPERMAN, just kidding! But seriously, achieving goal is a big fulfillment for all the sufferings and sacrifices we’ve met in order to reach the goal we set.
It was a hot Monday morning. I was sitting beside the door and windows. There was no teacher who entered the room since the class started. The room has so much noise from the people who talked loud that they don’t met each other for a long time. Others were so irritated that they wanted to walk out of the room. Until a teacher with a new face entered our class. With his so much explanation, he just said that there was a final examination on the day after tomorrow. My classmates were like bees, buzzing there and everywhere for their different reactions. As of my reaction, it’s too soon. We have to review the lessons we’ve tackled in the whole year for only one and a half day! This examination is important because it was the final test where our teacher will put us on the proper ranks according to the results of the examination. As a student who was ranked on the list of the Top 10 students consistently, there was a pressure because it was like a competition where participants were so competitive. So I did my best not to compete but to pass the exam.

As I arrived home, I did nothing but to read and review the lessons. Memorizing the names of the scientist and formulas were the most difficult part. I hate memorizing. Sleeping earlier than 9:00 is not easy but I need to do so. I didn’t play computer games and most of all I didn’t watched television all day long. There were so many disciplinary ways I’ve suffered from. These things were so hard to be done.
The day came. I took the test and I did my best. After an hour of taking the test, I felt so happy. The efforts I exerted were worthy. I can’t wait to know to results. Until one day our teacher called me and she said that she wanted to talk to me. At first, I thought I was one of the students who got the lowest score on the test but I was wrong. She told me that I was one of the students who got the highest score. She also told me to check the papers of the students from other section. As I walked away, there was a big smile painted on my face. As it happened, our teacher ranked me as the Top 8 of all the graduates. Thanking God a hundred times is not enough.
In this experience, I realized that we must have the mindset that we can achieve the goals we set just like what I’ve shared. Discipline helped me a lot. God will help you.  Through discipline, determination and faith in God nothing would be impossible. Discipline is the Best!

                                                  Breaking a Rule

Why do people break a rule ?

It was an ordinary day.Everyone has something to do, it’s either for school or for occupational activities. My mother and father worked for a long period of time. Me and my two sisters go to school every weekdays and arrived home late in the evening. My family and I was so busy that we don’t meet each other for a long time.  My mother noticed that we were so tired in the whole week. She asked,”Do you want to have a picnic? “ mother said.......“Are you sure ma ?” my little sister replied.
“ Yes, I’ve noticed that you were so tired in this past few days”, mother replied as she continued the conversation. Then silence covered the room.”Hey! Want some fun? “,she asked us again. “Of course !” my father and I agreed. My family started to plan for it.
I went outside as my mother followed , she whispered, “Hey dear, bring some of your friends, no! I mean one of your friends.” On the way to the bedroom, with a second thought in my mind, “What if I bring all of my friends?, for sure it’s gonna be so much fun”.
Then, the day came in one beautiful Sunday morning. We are all ready for the picnic. Everyone was so busy preparing “baon” such as puto, biko, and some dishes that my mother cooked for a long period of time. My mother asked me to call my friend that I used to came with. One hour later, all of us were  ready for a long trip but my friends were not yet there. I just thought that maybe their on their way, and here they come! My mother was surprised because she didn’t expect that I could do that thing. As the long trip was done. We’re on the house yet when my mother asked me to come with her. I knew what would happen next. Okay. I broke a rule. I felt so nervous . It’s a long “sermon” from my mother. “ How could you broke my rule? A rule is a rule, rule that you shouldn’t break.” as she started. There’s a lot of reason that was in my mind. I didn’t reply anything but I  knew and I had a reason why I should. After a long “ discussion” with my mother, I saw them (my family) staring at me as if they would like to eat me. I thought they were very angry at me. I felt so down and ashamed because of this very big mistake

Being one of the 40 scholars that had been chosen, is a great opportunity for us. But actually it's not easy as everybody knows, there should have availability.

On this third day of attending the access class, I can say that we have so much fun .I thought this class would be so bored that we don't understand everything , but I'm wrong , this class taught us about the proper way  use of the English Language and also the the proper way of pronouncing each word . This class enhance our own skills in English , mental ability and creativity in every activity. I remember that our teacher told us that there should be a TEAMWORK in every task.

I really hope that this program help us to have a better future .
