                                         “Discipline is the Best!”
According to the dictionary, goal is something you desire of. All of us have  goals, it’s either for studies or to win “her” or “him’s” heart. But in what way or how could we achieve these goals perfectly? Wishing upon a star or asking SUPERMAN to do some? If I would choose, I’ll go for SUPERMAN, just kidding! But seriously, achieving goal is a big fulfillment for all the sufferings and sacrifices we’ve met in order to reach the goal we set.
It was a hot Monday morning. I was sitting beside the door and windows. There was no teacher who entered the room since the class started. The room has so much noise from the people who talked loud that they don’t met each other for a long time. Others were so irritated that they wanted to walk out of the room. Until a teacher with a new face entered our class. With his so much explanation, he just said that there was a final examination on the day after tomorrow. My classmates were like bees, buzzing there and everywhere for their different reactions. As of my reaction, it’s too soon. We have to review the lessons we’ve tackled in the whole year for only one and a half day! This examination is important because it was the final test where our teacher will put us on the proper ranks according to the results of the examination. As a student who was ranked on the list of the Top 10 students consistently, there was a pressure because it was like a competition where participants were so competitive. So I did my best not to compete but to pass the exam.

As I arrived home, I did nothing but to read and review the lessons. Memorizing the names of the scientist and formulas were the most difficult part. I hate memorizing. Sleeping earlier than 9:00 is not easy but I need to do so. I didn’t play computer games and most of all I didn’t watched television all day long. There were so many disciplinary ways I’ve suffered from. These things were so hard to be done.
The day came. I took the test and I did my best. After an hour of taking the test, I felt so happy. The efforts I exerted were worthy. I can’t wait to know to results. Until one day our teacher called me and she said that she wanted to talk to me. At first, I thought I was one of the students who got the lowest score on the test but I was wrong. She told me that I was one of the students who got the highest score. She also told me to check the papers of the students from other section. As I walked away, there was a big smile painted on my face. As it happened, our teacher ranked me as the Top 8 of all the graduates. Thanking God a hundred times is not enough.
In this experience, I realized that we must have the mindset that we can achieve the goals we set just like what I’ve shared. Discipline helped me a lot. God will help you.  Through discipline, determination and faith in God nothing would be impossible. Discipline is the Best!

  1. That's right. Like you, I always pray that may God help me through my tests and get a high score (pass). But I also learned something from it because it's true that you need to have an effort also. God is always ready to help you at any time but you must also do your part. HE will give you the knowledge you need everyday :) Be contented with it! :)
